Materials
Manufactured from three-layer composite strips:
- PTFE + Molybdenum Disulfide with a thickness of 0.01 to 0.03 mm. This is the contact surface between the shaft and the bushing. Both PTFE and molybdenum disulfide are known for their excellent anti-friction and anti-wear properties.
- Sintered bronze. This layer bonds the PTFE + molybdenum disulfide layer with the next layer. During the subsequent stages of rolling, it combines with the PTFE, adding the bronze's qualities to the contact surface and providing good thermal conductivity for heat dissipation generated by friction.
- Bronze. The difference in materials that sets this type of bushing apart from the Serie U bushings is in the back layer. Here, it is made from bronze, which significantly increases corrosion resistance and improves electrical conductivity.
Corrosion Resistance
These bushings can withstand harsher environments than the Serie-U due to their bronze construction as the base metal. They tolerate water well.
Temperature
Operating limits range from -200 ºC to 280 ºC.
